Locality.

"Station 119. Aïn Attig. Source près de la route de Rabat à Casablanca à 13 kilomètres de Rabat" [station 119 at Ain Attig. A spring near the road from Rabat to Casablanca, 13 km from Rabat], Morocco.

Remarks.

First of all, the name as given by Pérès (1939) is a nomen nudum - Pérès apparently considered the expression " curta " self-explanatory and did not describe it. Moreover, he obviously used the name not as separate taxon but rather as descriptive term to fit existing species into his morphological concept. He even indicated Melanopsis brevis Morelet, 1857 as its “type”.
