Type material. Paratype, male: Madagascar, Faux-Cap , XII.1951, A.R. [ NHWW] .

Diagnosis, male. Length 1.5 mm, 2.1 × as long as wide; colour black. Antennal club with two transverse sutures; frons with small median tubercle on lower third; elytra appearing glabrous, interstrial setae minute, mainly on declivity, setae at or near the lateral margin longer, hair-like.

Distribution. Madagascar. Only known from the type locality in the very south of the island, breeding in a Euphorbia succulent ( Schedl 1977).
