( Figs 33, 36, 39 View FIGURES 33–42 )

Pseudomicracis ignotus Schedl, 1965: 62 View in CoL , orig. spelling

Type material. Holotype, male: Madagascar, Mt. d’Ambre [ GIS: -12.54, 49.17] [ NHMW].

Diagnosis. Length 1.9 mm, 2.8 × as long as wide, colour yellowish brown; anterior margin of pronotum forming a distinct rim with teeth; elytral apex pointed, posterolateral margin finely serrated; interstrial setae truncated, not more than twice as long as broad.

Distribution. Madagascar.

Remarks. Only a male specimen is known, taken in flight ( Schedl 1977). Very similar to D. acutior sp. nov. but distinguished by the much shorter and truncated interstrial setae, the finer serration along the posterolateral margin of the elytra, and less strongly lifted rim near the anterior margin of the pronotum.
