Coccus hesperidum Linnaeus, 1758, designated by Opinion 1303 (1985).
Diagnosis.
Dorsal setae pointed or blunt; dorsal tubular ducts and dorsal tubercles present or absent; marginal setae with pointed or frayed apices; ventral tubular ducts present or absent, if present, mainly distributed on medial area of thorax or submarginal area; a tibio-tarsal articulatory sclerosis present or absent on each leg.
