The species was recorded in Sinai ( Egypt) by Peyerimhoff (1907), Orchymont (1927) and Alfieri (1976). However, the species was not included in the revision of Jäch (1992c) and also not included in the catalogues of Hansen (1998) and Jäch (2004). The species may be related to the Egyptian fauna, where it is known from Israel and the previous records of this species in Egypt were in Sinai. The presence of this species in Egypt needs confirmation.
