Mesovelia mulsanti has been reported from much of the Caribbean Islands, including Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and St. Croix ( de Kort-Gommer and Nieser 1969). We also found this species on St. Thomas in ghuts, ponds, and mangrove brackish pools and streams. Typically, this species was found where the water was calm, but it also occurred along the margins of swift water, where vegetation or woody debris were present.
