Specimens examined. No specimen available for this study.
Diagnosis. Atholus tetricus is described with a circular fovea behind the anterolateral angle of its pronotum. The inner stria of its subhumerus is located close to apex, while its elytral dorsal striae 1–4 are complete, but the dorsal 5 and sutural stria are marked on the apical half. Both propygidium and pygidium of this species are almost impunctate, appearing smooth on their surfaces.
Distribution. Indonesia: endemic to Sumatra Island ( Fig. 12 View Fig ).
