Type Locality: Indonesia, Miangas Isl (= Palmas Isl) between Talaud Isls and Mindanao.
Vernacular Names: Little Golden-mantled Flying Fox.
Synonyms: Pteropus balutus Hollister 1913 ; Pteropus tablasi Taylor 1934 .
Distribution: Philippines (except Palawan region), Talaud Isls ( Indonesia).
Conservation: CITES – Appendix II. IUCN / SSC Action Plan (1992) – Vulnerable. IUCN 2003 – Vulnerable.
Discussion: subniger species group. Includes balutus and tablasi ; see Klingener and Creighton (1984).
