Andrena (Notandrena) trimarginata ( Radoszkowski, 1886)

Andrena (Carandrena) zostera Warncke, 1975b: 99 , ♂ [ Turkey, OÖLM, examined] syn. nov.

Andrena (Carandrena) subsmaragdina Osytshnjuk, 1984: 13 , ♀ ♂ [ Turkmenistan, SIZK, not examined] syn. nov.

Remarks. Warncke (1967) and Gusenleitner & Schwarz (2002) indicated that the type material of A. trimarginata was present in the ZMHB, consisting of a head and mesosoma fragment only. This fragment was examined ( Figure 42 ), and confirmed its identity as a small Notandrena species with metallic green-purple reflections. Described from Ashgabat in Turkmenistan, this fragment is sufficient to allow recognition that this material is conspecific with A. zostera . The revision of Wood & Monfared (2022) demonstrated that A. zostera was the senior synonym of A. subsmaragdina Osytshnjuk, 1984 , which was considered to be the only metallic green Notandrena found in Central Asia. Andrena trimarginata therefore becomes the senior name for both taxa syn. nov.
