Bombus pascuorum freygessneri Vogt, 1909

Iberian subspecies distributed mainly in the northeast (Catalonia and Valencia), but entering into the inner Peninsula, where hybrid forms with other subspecies appear. Its elevational distribution ranges from 150 to 1690 m ( Ornosa & Ortiz-Sánchez 2004).

Recently it was located in the Pyrenees between 627 and 2152 m ( Fig. 7 ), on Acinos alpinum (L.), Asarina procumbens Mill. , Echium plantagineum (Nox.) , Malva sylvestris L., Medicago sativa L. , Rhododendron ferrugineum L. and Trifolium repens L.

According to current data, this species exhibits greater orophilous tendency ( Fig. 7 ) but it is not regarded as being threatened ( Table 2 ).
