Demotispa tibialis Baly, 1858: 66 View in CoL (type locality: ‘Amazons’; HT in BMNH not found).
Remarks. The transfer is made upon the primary description, as I was unable to ¿nd the holotype, which should be located in the BMNH. The species was listed only in catalogues without any new specimens having been reported, and therefore, it is questionable whether it was collected in Brazil or Peru.
Distribution. Brazil or Peru ( BALY 1858).
