Diagnosis. Relatively small species; ac biseriate; first flagellomere as long as high; legs dark brown, except trochanters yellowish-brown; halter brownish-yellow; mid femur with av row of erect setae, and 2 strong pv setae.

Description. Male: Length (holotype): body 1.2 mm, wing 1.4 mm. Head: Frons velvet black, with dense brownish pruinosity; eyes converging below antennae and almost contiguous; palpus black with a strong spine-like apical seta; antenna dark brown, first flagellomere about as long as high; lower postoculars black. Thorax: Mesonotum and scutellum dark metallic green, with brownish pruinosity; 5 strong dc; ac biseriate; scutellum with 2 strong marginal and 2 small lateral setae; pleura dark brown shining. Legs: Entirely dark brown, except trochanters yellowish-brown. Fore leg: coxa with anterior setae; femur with av and pv row of fine setae, shorter than diameter of femur; tibia slightly swollen, with ad row of small setulae, including 1 longer seta at 1/2, and with ventral row of short setulae; basitarsus compressed laterally, with small spine-like ventral setulae; relative podomere ratios: 57, 52, 15/8/9 /7/6. Mid leg: coxa with a strong lateral seta; femur with 1 strong anterior preapical seta, with av row of short erect setae which are shorter than diameter of femur, and with a pair of strong pv setae at 2/3; tibia with strong ad seta at 1/4, and 2 small pd setae at 1/4 and 1/2, and with 3 strong apical setae; relative podomere ratios: 67, 70, 26/12/8 /6/7. Hind leg: coxa with 1 strong lateral seta; femur with strong anterior preapical seta; tibia with strong ad seta at 1/4, with 2 pd setae at 1/4 and 1/2, strong and long dorsoapical seta, and 2 small apical setae; relative podomere ratios: 70, 72, 18/15/10 /8/6. Wing: Hyaline, with grayish tinge; R4+5 and M parallel; CuAx ratio: 0.6; RMx ratio: 1.5; lower calypter ochreous brown with fan of dark brown setae; halter brownishyellow. Abdomen: Dark metallic green, with brownish pruinosity; segments 7 and 8 dark brown; hypopygium dark brown, except cercus ochreous. Hypopygium ( Figs. 11 View FIGURE 11 A–B): hypandrium narrow, with curved pointed apex; epandrial lobe strongly recurved, without setae; ventral lobe of surstylus small, with apical seta; dorsal lobe of surstylus U-shaped, with small setulae and strong dorsal seta; postgonite slender, with small setulae; cercus ovate. Female: Unknown.

Etymology. The name refers to the relatively small body size.
