Aedeagus ( Fig. 5F View FIGURE5 ): Symmetry: symmetric; Shape: widest in basal part; Profile: convex; Modifications: markedly bent.

Variability. Size: 3.2–4.1 mm. The extent and shape of elytral pubescence varies considerably in both, proximal and distal part. Sexual dimorphism. The male has the basal ventrite with feeble impression. Frons, antennae, legs and pronotal sides has golden –green hue.

Diagnosis. Agrilus ecalcaratus   sp. nov. belongs to the group of species with expanded proximal part of aedeagus ( Tab. 1) ( Fig. 5F View FIGURE5 ). It differs from them by lacking cluster of setae on apex of metatibiae.

Distribution. India (Meghalaya); Laos (Bolikhamxai, Houaphan, Louangphabang, Vientiane); Thailand (Mae Hong Son, Nakhon Ratchasima, Tak); Vietnam (Lam Dong).

Etymology. The specific name is an adjective and is derived from the Greek ek (out of) and Latin calcar (spur). It refers to lacking spur –like cluster of setae on metibiae, which is frequently present in species of A. humilis   species group.
