Type Locality: "Deli" [North East Sumatra, Indonesia].

Vernacular Names: Hagen's Flying Squirrel.

Synonyms: Petinomys ouwensi Sody 1949 .

Distribution: Borneo, Sumatra.

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Formerly included lugens ( Chasen, 1940:119) ; see comments therein. Medway (1977:112) considered the status of ouwensi doubtful.
