Synonym: Anguillula terrestris Bütschli (l. c. 1873). 1876 de Man (l. c), 1884 de Man (l. c).
Im Alpengebiet verbreitet, steigt am Matterhorn bis zu einer Höhe von 3800 m. Bütschli fand die Art zuerst an den Wurzeln eines Pilzes: de Man beschrieb sie aus Holland, England und Deutschland.
