Diagnosis

Male and female: About 8 mm in length ( Figure 16 View Figure 16 (d)). Frons with black hairs mixed with some yellow-white scaly hairs. Face, occiput and pleura with white hairs mixed with a few black hairs at face. Scutum and scutellum black-haired, with some white-brown scaly hairs. Wing pattern composed of brown spots on cross-vein r-m and origin of vein R2+3, on origin of vein R4, on cross-vein m-m, on base of cell m2, and a larger one on bases of cells cua1 and dm; costal and subcostal cells infuscated brown and this infuscation extends to bases of cells br, bm and cup; it extends also to cross-vein bm-cu through the tip of cell bm and the middle of cell br. Abdomen black, with black hairs except for white hairs on first tergite and rows of white scaly hairs on hind margins of tergites giving the abdomen a banded appearance. Gonocoxites ( Figure 12 View Figure 12 (a)) truncate, triangular; epiphallus simple; aedeagus massive ( Figure 12 View Figure 12 (b,c)). Spermatheca ( Figure 12 View Figure 12 (d)) with a balloon-shaped, well-sclerotised bulb and a long, well-sclerotised pump.
