3 males, 5 females, SAO TOME & PRINCIPE: Príncipe , near Bom Bom Island Resort (1°41'N, 7°24'E), 20 m, 24– 27 iv 2018, leg. Martina & K.- G. Heller & Marianne Volleth ( CH 8559-66) GoogleMaps ; 1 female, Príncipe, near Nova Estrela (1°36'N, 7°25'E), 50 m a.s.l., leg. Martina & K.- G. Heller & Marianne Volleth ( CH 8567) GoogleMaps .
New record for the island of Príncipe and the state São Tomé and Príncipe. To find this widespread species (see Ragge 1956) also in Príncipe was not very unexpected. It was relatively common there, perhaps even sometimes the most common tettigoniid. However, we did not see it in São Tomé. Surprisingly Burr (1927) mentions it neither for Príncipe nor for São Tomé. So it should be not excluded that it arrived in Príncipe relatively recently.
