( Figs. 12–18 View FIGURES 12 – 18 )
Types. Male holotype from Parque Natural Municipal Nascentes do Ribeirão Garcia (27o01’– 27o06’ S; 49o04’– 49o10’ W; 290–910 m), Blumenau, Santa Catarina, Brazil, 24.X.2004, R.C. Francisco col. with pitfall traps, deposited in IBSP 62448.
Etymology. The species is named in honour of the Brazilian ornithologist Rudi Ricardo Laps, from “Universidade Regional de Blumenau”.
Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from the congeneric species by the presence of two pairs of medium-sized apophyses on the chelicerae, in an unique position ( Figs. 12–14 View FIGURES 12 – 18 ) and by the slender procursus with several ventral ridges ( Figs. 15–16 View FIGURES 12 – 18 ).
Description. Male (Holotype): Total length 2.4, carapace width 1.3; leg I: 37.9 (9.3 + 0.4 + 9.9 + 16.1 + 2.7), tibia II: 6.2, tibia III: 4.1, tibia IV: 6.4, tibia I L/d: 71. Carapace light brown; sternum light ochre. Distinct thoracic groove. Eight eyes on slightly elevated ocular area; distance PME–ALE about 60% of PME diameter. Chelicera uniformly light brown, basal segment of chelicera with one ventro-prolateral median apophysis, and one more proximal prolateral protrusion ( Figs. 12–14 View FIGURES 12 – 18 ). Palps as in figs. 15–18. Coxa with a very pointed retrolateral apophysis ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 12 – 18 ). Femur proximally with a small basal rounded retrolateral apophysis ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 12 – 18 ).
Procursus dark brown, slender and slightly curved, with several median ventral ridges ( Figs. 15–16 View FIGURES 12 – 18 ) and several basal prolateral hairs ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 12 – 18 ). Distinct tip of procursus, ending in a membrane, with a ventral projection ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 12 – 18 ). Bulb simple, with no transparent projection, embolar division of bulb membranous at the end ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 12 – 18 ). Legs light brown; without spines, vertical or curved hairs. Tarsus I with approximately 36 pseudosegments. Opisthosoma globular, pale green, with some lateral bluish spots.
