Material examined. Total of 110 specimens collected from palms, including Phoenix canariensis H. Wildpret , Yucca sp., Punica granatum L., Hibiscus sp., Nerium oleander L. and Euphorbia sp. at Caleta de Fuste (13.II.2017, 30.III.2017), Costa Calma (08–09.II.2017, 11.II.2917, 14.II.2017, 21–22.III.2017), La Lajita (23.III.2017) and Morro Jable (24.III.2017).
Distribution. New to Fuerteventura. Reported from La Gomera and Tenerife by Eizaguirre (2007) and Oromí & Báez (2010). This species of native distribution in southern California ( Gordon 1994) is now widespread in North America ( Hoelmer & Pickett 2003). Also widely used in Europe as a biological control agent but stable populations have not been established.
