Parexochomus nigripennis ( Erichson, 1843)

Material examined. Total of 68 specimens (57 adults, 10 larvae, 1 pupa) collected mostly from Nerium oleander L. and Bougainvillea sp. at 8 study sites: Aeropuerto de Fuerteventura (30.III.2017), Betancuria (10.II.2017) , Caleta de Fuste (13.II.2017, 30.III.2017) , Costa Calma (09.VIII.2017) , Lajares (30.IX.2016, 10.II.2017) , La Lajita (12. II.2017, 23.III.2017) , Pajara (12.VIII.2017) and Tarajalejo (24.III.2017) .

Distribution. This species is widely distributed in the Mediterranean and Middle East countries as well as in the Oriental region. It was reported from Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Iran, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Pakistan and India ( Poorani 2002; Kovář 2007; Biranvand et al. 2017a; Abied et al. 2018; Lakhal et al. 2018). Reported from all islands of the Canarian archipelago excluding La Palma ( Eizaguirre 2007; Oromí & Báez 2010).
