Cheumatopsyche lolo Oláh & Johanson , new species

Fig. 330–333

This species is similar to C. copia Malicky from Thailand and Malaysia, but differs in having extremely broad harpagones in lateral view. In addition, the dorsum of segment X is not sloping ventrad as in C. copia , but is stepped twice.

Male. Body and wings yellow with light pubescence. Maxillary palp segment I shortest, segment II longer, segments III and IV equally long, segment V as long as sum of segments I–IV. Head dorsum yellow with 7 similar coloured warts. Proepisternum without swollen setal wart. Protarsal claws asymmetrical, laterally flanked by setal bundle. Forewing length 5.5 mm, hind wing length 4 mm. Forewing crossveins m-cu and cu tangental. Hind wing fork I absent.

Male genitalia. Segment IX fused annularly; tergum about half as long as sternum ( Fig. 330); anterior margins of segment IX uniformly convex; apical lobe on posterolateral margins widely rounded triangular, located immediately above coxopodites. Spine row on posterior margins of segment IX complete; spines on dorsocaudal spiny lobe longer and stiffer than spines on apical lobes. Intersegmental step between segment IX and segment X shallow; dorsal margin sigmoid in lateral view ( Fig. 330). Segment X long, nearly rhombical with blunt apex ( Fig. 330), tongue-shaped in dorsal view ( Fig. 331). Setaless mesocaudal lobe posteriorly convex ( Fig. 331). Apicoventral setal lobes completely fused with lateral margin of segment X. Lateral setose areas located centrally on distal half of segment X, at apicoventral setal lobes ( Fig. 330). Dorsal and lateral interlobular gaps absent. Transverse sutures running obliquely in ( Fig. 330, 331), dividing segment X into less sclerotised basal part, and more strongly sclerotised distal part. Longitudinal sutures present well above ventral margin of segment X, meeting transverse sutures; forming continuation of apicoventral lobes ( Fig. 330). Coxopodites exceeding apex of segment X; straight, slightly dilating in lateral view ( Fig. 330); basally and distally wide, centrally narrow and slightly curving mesally in ventral view ( Fig. 332). Harpagones forming laterally flattened, broad, uniformly tapering plates; weakly curving dorsad in lateral view ( Fig. 330), slightly sigmoid in ventral view ( Fig. 332). Phallotheca ( Fig. 333) generally slender, narrowing towards mid-length, broadening at apex; sclerotised endothecal process long, broad, with ventral hook in lateral view; phallotremal sclerites broad; some vestigial ventral endothecal membranous lobe visible.

Holotype male: VIETNAM: Lam Dong Province: Baoloc, Baco stream, 26.x.1988, light [J. Oláh] ( OPC, in alcohol).

Paratype: same data as holotype — 1 male ( OPC, in alcohol) .

Distribution: Vietnam (Lam Dong Province).

Etymology: after the ethnic minority living near the type locality.
