11. Cheumatopsyche ayopa species group

Species in this group have a simple segment X with a narrow and shallow apicomesal excision ( Fig. 11); the apex of segment X curves dorsad in lateral view; the harpagones have bifid apices and unique, species-spe- cific shapes; the asymmetrical protarsal claw is laterally flanked by a setal bundle, except in C. padaha , new species whose protarsal claws are symmetrical, with no setal bundle. Most species are large and dark, with long antennae, and are similar to Potamyia species. The group is endemic to Madagascar, with six new species.
