Cheumatopsyche hoasena Oláh & Johanson , new species

Fig. 214–217

This species is similar to C. bardiana Malicky from Nepal, but the dorsum of segment X lacks the acuteangled elevation in lateral view; the apicoventral lobes are narrower in dorsal view and longer in lateral view; the apical lobe of the posterolateral margins of segment IX are both situated almost at mid-height, not close to sternum; the harpagones are very slender and completely straight in lateral view, slightly tapering and without basiventral broadening.

Male. Body and wings pale brown with brown pubescence. Forewing evenly lightly spotted. Maxillary palp segment I shortest, segment II longer, segments III and IV equally long, segment V as long as sum of segments I–IV. Head dorsum dark brown, with 9 slightly lighter warts. Proepisternum without swollen setal wart. Protarsal claws asymmetrical, laterally flanked by setal bundle. Forewing length 5.4 mm, hind wing length 4.1 mm. Forewing crossveins m-cu and cu almost touching; hind wing fork I absent.

Male genitalia. Segment IX fused annularly; tergum short, sternum 3 times longer than tergum ( Fig. 214); anterior margins of segment IX regularly convex in lateral view ( Fig. 214); apical lobe on posterolateral margins rounded, located at mid-height of segment; posterior spine row segment IX interrupted, with spines on dorsocaudal spiny lobes 2 times longer than those on apical lobes. Dorsum of segment X located on intersegmental step between segment IX and segment X. Segment X long, rhomboid in lateral view ( Fig. 214), constricted at base in dorsal view ( Fig. 215); clearly bilobed in dorsal view. Dorsal interlobular gap wide, shallow. Sutures on segment X well developed. Transverse sutures crossing segment obliquely ( Fig. 214). Longitudinal sutures form continuation of apicoventral setal lobes, meeting transverse sutures into pronounced, strongly sclerotised Y. Setaless mesocaudal lobe with posterior margin forming straight plate between apicoventral setal lobes. Apicoventral setal lobes fused with segment X along their lengths, except at apices; apices visible in lateral and dorsal view; lateral margins slightly curved mesad in dorsal view ( Fig. 215). Pair of lateral setose areas forming large elevated warts, encircled basally by transverse and longitudinal sutures. Coxopodites extending beyond apex of segment X, forming straight rod with dilating apices in lateral view, slightly curving in ventral view ( Fig. 216). Harpagones slender, slightly narrowing along their length; straight in lateral view; weakly curving in ventral view ( Fig. 216). Phallothecal dorsum ( Fig. 217) straight; sclerotised endothecal process elongated and curving ventrad; phallotremal sclerites broad, vertical in lateral view; vestigial membranous endothecal lobes slightly visible.
