Cheumatopsyche doan Oláh & Johanson , new species

Fig. 102, 127–130

This species is close to C. dubitans Mosely from China, but the apicoventral setal lobes are strongly upcurved in lateral view, encircling the very narrow and deep lateral interlobular gaps; and the apex the apicoventral setal lobes are rounded, not capitate in dorsal view. The pair of lateral setose areas form long digitiform processes with truncate apices, not rounded. The forewing pattern has smaller pale areas.

Male. Body and wings pale light brown with brown pubescence. Maxillary palp segment I shortest, segment II longer, segments III and IV equally long, segment V as long as sum of segments I–IV. Head dorsum dark brown, with 7 only slightly lighter warts. Proepisternum without swollen setal wart. Protarsal claws asymmetrical, laterally flanked by setal bundles. Forewing length 6.0 mm, hind wing length 4.8 mm. Hind wing fork I present. Forewing with lighter pattern of two large patches on both anterior and posterior margins ( Fig. 102).

Male genitalia. Segment IX fused annularly; tergum short, sternum a little longer than tergum ( Fig. 127); anterior margin of segment IX regularly convex in lateral view ( Fig. 127); apical lobe on posterolateral margins rounded, located immediately above base of coxopodites; spine row on posterior margins of segment IX complete, spines on dorsocaudal lobes at least 3 times longer than the others. Intersegmental step between segment IX and segment X shallow and obtusely angled ( Fig. 127). Segment X long, quadrangular in both dorsal and lateral view, clearly bilobed in dorsal view ( Fig. 128). Transverse sutures crossing segment ( Fig. 127). Longitudinal sutures forming continuation of apicoventral setal lobes ( Fig. 127); dorsomesal plates slightly excised apically ( Fig. 128). Apicoventral setal lobes strongly upcurving in lateral view ( Fig. 127), ovoid; apices rounded, not capitate in dorsal view ( Fig. 128). Lateral setose areas elongate, forming pair of long digitiform processes at right angle to mesal plane, apices sharply cut in dorsal view; located beyond transverse and above longitudinal sutures. Coxopodites extending beyond apex of segment X, straight, with dilated apex. Harpagones broad at bases, tapering subapically, curving dorsad in lateral view ( Fig. 127), almost straight in ventral view ( Fig. 129). Phallotheca ( Fig. 130) with straight dorsum; sclerotised endothecal process nearly circular, phallotremal sclerites broad, vertical in lateral view; vestigial membranous endothecal lobes scarcely visible.

Holotype male: VIETNAM: Lam Dong Province: Baoloc, Baco stream, 26.x.1988, light [J. Oláh] ( OPC, in alcohol).

Paratypes: VIETNAM: Lam Dong Province, Baoloc, Duchma stream, 23.x.1988, light [J. Oláh] — 2 males, 1 female ( OPC, in alcohol) .

Distribution: Vietnam (Lam Dong Province).

Etymology: named after the light pattern on the forewing, pattern “do an” in Vietnamese.
