5. Cheumatopsyche lestoni View in CoL species group
Species in this group have a shortened, trilobed segment X ( Fig. 5) with a sloping and not stepped intersegmental depression between segment IX and segment X. As in the C. expeditionis species group the apicoventral lobes are directed posterad, not curving dorsad. The short setaless mesocaudal lobe is sometimes reduced in some species, producing an almost bilobed segment X in dorsal view. When reduced, the mesal portion of the setaless mesocaudal lobe has never a concave apical margin in dorsal view as in the C. costalis species group. Although close to the C. expeditionis species group the intersegmental depression between segment IX and segment X is sloping, not stepped, and the harpagones are shorter and broader. This species group is distributed in the Afrotropical region.
