Cheumatopsyche namha Oláh & Johanson , new species
Fig. 87–90
This species resembles C. danae Malicky described from Laos, but is distinguished by the larger apical lobes on the posterolateral margins of segment IX; the intersegmental step between segment IX and segment X that is not discernible; the apicoventral setal lobes of segment X that are apically rounded; the lateral interlobular gaps being shallower; the harpagones both with a subapical excision, visible in both lateral and ventral view. In addition, the phallic apparatus has no subapical, ventral broadening in lateral view. The forewing membranes are spotted, not unicolorous.
Male. Body and wings dark brown. In forewings, costal, pterostigma, cubital and anal areas indistinctly light-spotted on brown membrane. Maxillary palp segment I shortest, segment II longer, segments III and IV equally long, segment V as long as sum of segments I–IV. Head dorsum dark brown with 9 dark brown coloured warts. Proepisternum without swollen setal wart. Protarsal claws asymmetrical, laterally flanked by setal bundles. Forewing length 6.2 mm, hind wing length 4.3 mm. Hind wing fork I absent.
Male genitalia. Segment IX fused annularly; tergum short, sternum twice as long as tergum ( Fig. 87); anterior margins of segment IX convex, more strongly curved anterad at ventral parts; apical lobe on posterolateral margins bluntly triangular, located above base of coxopodites; spine row on posterior margins of segment IX interrupted by short area near mid-height of segment X without spines. Intersegmental step between segment IX and segment X indistinct ( Fig. 87). Segment X long, narrow, nearly quadrangular ( Fig. 87); trilobed in dorsal view ( Fig. 88). Apex of setaless mesocaudal lobe shallowly expanded posterad, with rounded margin in dorsal view ( Fig. 88); short, with right-angled apicodorsal apex in lateral view ( Fig. 87). Pair of apicoventral setal lobes broad, rounded, looping dorsad in lateral view ( Fig. 87). Pair of longitudinal sutures located near and parallel with ventral margin of segment X; forming continuation of apicoventral setal lobes; nearly reaching posterior margins of segment IX. Lateral interlobular gaps small in lateral view ( Fig. 87). Dorsal interlobular gap wide anteriorly, narrowing posterad in dorsal view ( Fig. 88). Pair of lateral setose areas forming small, elevated warts distally at mid-height on segment X, clearly visible in dorsal and lateral view ( Fig. 87, 88). Transverse sutures clearly discernible, dorsally ending in pair of small humps at mid- length of dorsal margin of segment X. Coxopodites extending well beyond apex of segment X; straight, slightly dilating distad in lateral view ( Fig. 87), capitate mesodiostally in ventral view ( Fig. 89). Harpagones basally wide before narrowing from mid-length in lateral view ( Fig. 87) and at distal three-quarters in ventral view ( Fig. 89); forming broadly triangular plates. Phallothecal dorsum ( Fig. 90) almost straight; sclerotised endothecal process half ovoid; phallotremal sclerites narrow, vertical in lateral view; vestigial membranous endothecal lobes visible on less sclerotised apicoventral corner.
