Cheumatopsyche brunnea Jacquemart, 1961 View in CoL
Fig. 30–31, 47–50.
Cheumatopsyche brunnea Jacquemart, 1961: 228 View in CoL .
Type locality: Congo .
Remarks: The forewing pattern and genitalia resemble those of C. sexfasciata ( Ulmer 1904) . According to the original illustrations by Jacquemart (1961) the gonocoxites are different in being short and broad, not long and slender; and the setaless mesocaudal lobe is more strongly developed, upturned mesally, resulting in a trilobed segment X. The examined holotype (in MRAC) mounted on a single microscope slide is actually a female. A pinned male paratype from Congo (in ISNB) is illustrated in Fig. 30, 47–50. A pinned male paratype of C. lobata Marlier (det. Marlier) is actually C. brunnea Jacquemart 1961 having a less distinct forewing pattern ( Fig. 31).
