Type material examined.

This species was described from "Quelques individus. Nagasaki". There is one well preserved, 5.25 mm long, probably female specimen in Marshall’s collection (BMNH) below the name Pseudocneorhinus obesus , labeled as follows: Type H. T. [printed, circular label with red margin] / Japan G. Lewis 1910-320. [printed].
