Diagnosis. This species is unique by an apicodorsal lobe bearing three long setae on gonocoxite, its clavate gonostylus, and relatively longer aedeagus.

Description (male). Color. Head and thorax dark brown; antennae, palps, abdomen and hypopygium yellowish brown; mesonotum brown; legs pale brown; wings fumose.

Head ( Figs 7 View FIGURE 7 E, F). Eye bridge narrow, with 3 rows of facets, ommatidia reduced medially. Maxillary palps 2- segmented, basal segment with 2 setae; 2nd segment with 5 setae. Length/width index of 4th flagellomere: 2.08.

Thorax. Anterior pronotum with 1 seta, episternum 1 with 1 seta. Wings ( Fig. 14 View FIGURE 14 D). Wing length 1.85 mm, width/length: 0.39. c/w: 0.84. R1/R: 0.53. r-m, stM, M1 and M2 bare, CuA1 and CuA2 bare. Legs ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 G). Length of spur/width of foretibia 0.98. Length of femur/length of metatarsus: foreleg 1.51. Length of metatarsus/length of tibia: foreleg 0.51, hind leg 0.46. Length of hind tibia/length of thorax 1.22. Claws toothed.

Hypopygium ( Figs 7 View FIGURE 7 A–D). Gonocoxite as long as gonostylus. Gonostylus slender, densely setose on apicoventral part, with an apical tooth arising from a subapical dorsal lobe. Hypopygium with a conical setose intercoxal lobe, three long setae arising from apicodorsal lobe of gonocoxite. Tegmen slightly and smoothly curved, parameral apodeme laterally sclerotized on tegmen. Aedeagus relatively longer than other Mohrigia species. Sternite 10 with 1 seta on each half.

Distribution. China (Yunnan, Fig. 16 View FIGURE 16 ).

Etymology. This species is named after the dorsal lobe on the gonocoxite, a Latinized Greek compound word from the nouns nōton (back) and lobos (lobe). It is an invariable noun in apposition.
