Distribution in Iran. Hormozgan, Kerman ( Hoberlandt 1997), Iran (no locality cited) ( Rider 2006). General distribution. Eremian: Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan; in tropical Africa: Mauritania, Senegal, Sudan, Chad.
Host plants. Seems to live on Boraginaceae and particularly on Heliotropum ( Derjanschi & Péricart 2005) , in Iran on H. persicum ( Hoberlandt 1997) . From the whole material of P. bessaci collected in Iran, 54% belong to macropterous and 46% to brachypterous specimens of different stages ( Hoberlandt 1997).
