Type specimens: Holotype: male, CHINA: Jianfengling, Ledong (108°46΄E, 18°37΄N), Hainan Province, alt. 940m, 7. VI. 2007, Xu Zhang leg.. Diagnosis: Recognized by shining pale yellowish brown body, vertex width 1.6–2.0 times eye width, antennal segment I length 1.5–1.8 times vertex width, antennal segment II yellowish brown with apical portion black, length 2.2–2.3 times head width (included eyes), scutellum pale yellowish brown, lateral margin with narrow pale yellow band, femur yellowish brown, apical portion with two reddish brown rings. Similar in habitus to C. koreanus , but can be separated by body shining, scutellum pale yellowish brown with narrow pale yellow bands, femur yellowish brown, apical portion with two reddish brown rings.
Description: Body oval, shining, yellowish brown, covered with pale setae.
Head projected, shining; vertex without spots; Clypeus reddish brown, with sparse short setae. Eyes reddish brown. Antennae with dense pale pubescence, segment I cylindrical, dark brown, slightly narrowed at base; segment II yellowish brown, apical portion reddish brown; segment III blackish brown, basal portion yellow; segment IV blackish brown. Labium yellowish brown, extending to mesocoxa. Pronotum shining, with punctures; collar smooth, pale yellow, posterior margins blackish brown; calli yellowish brown, margins dark, shining, merged anteriorly, slightly raised, with a hollow near each anterolateral margin; posterior margins pale yellow, concavely sinuate. Scutellum ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 6 ) dark yellowish brown, lateral margins yellowish white. Hemelytron shining, covered with coarse reddish brown punctures, cuneus reddish brown, yellowish brown at base; membrane pale brown, with pale spots near cuneus, veins reddish brown. Leg yellowish brown, apical portion of femur with two blackish brown rings, tibia basal and apical portion brown, tarsus and claw blackish brown. Venter blackish brown, with dense pale pubescence. Ostiolar peritreme pale yellowish white.
Male genitalia: Left paramere ( Figs. 55, 57 View FIGURES 55 – 60 ) strong, sensory lobe elongated, slightly elevated at middle portion, covered with plumose spinules, hypophysis depressed, apical portion ( Fig. 56 View FIGURES 55 – 60 ) with a hook; right paramere ( Fig. 58 View FIGURES 55 – 60 ) stout, apical portion bent, apex sharp; vesica ( Fig. 60 View FIGURES 55 – 60 ) with membranous lobes and 4 sclerotized appendages.
Distribution: China (Hainan).
Etymology: Named for the penniform spines on sensory lobe of the left paramere.
