Records in Mexico: Puebla, Morelos, Oaxaca, Queretaro, Aguascalientes and Campeche.
Biogeographic province: Balsas Basin. Chihuahuan Desert. Yucatan Peninsula. Sierra Madre Oriental.
Habitat: Leaf litter (of various species) and soil of the Tehuacan Valley. Organic matter ( Aquila chrysaetos canadensis nests). Collected on epiphytes: Aechmea bracteata growing on Haematoxylum campechianum and Metopium brownei . Xerophytic vegetation.
