Records in Mexico: Quintana Roo, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Morelos and Michoacan.

Biogeographic province: Sierra Madre del Sur. Pacific Lowlands. Veracruzan. Yucatan Peninsula. Balsas Basin Transmexican Volcanic Belt.

Habitat: Mangrove roots, moss. Soil and litter of cloud mountain forest and coffee plantations. Decaying trunks of Bursera simaruba and Spondias mombin . Leaf litter and soil of medium sub evergreen forest, lowland forest, mangrove and halophyte vegetation. Low flooded rainforest soil. Soil and litter in a deciduous forest. Soil in acahual. Litter in subtropical forest. Pinus michoacana and Quercus rugosa forest. Leaf litter under trees and bushes in a secondary semi-evergreen tropical forest.
