Biogeographic province: Veracruzan. Yucatan Peninsula.
Habitat: Rotten wood, humus and vegetable waste. Leaf litter and soil of medium sub evergreen forest, lowland forest, mangrove and halophyte vegetation.

Distribution: Neotropical.
Records in Mexico: Mexico City, Morelos, State of Mexico and Veracruz.
Biogeographic province: Transmexican Volcanic Belt. Veracruzan.
Habitat: Decayed conifer wood ( Abies religiosa and Pinus leiophylla ), with moss, on an overturned trunk that was very damp and even wet. Decomposing A. religiosa . Soil and litter of Astrocaryum mexicanum and Guarea glabra .
