Diagnosis. Loboschiza sictriquetra sp. nov. differs from all other species in the genus by the conspicuously large socii and the elongate subtriangular valva in the male genitalia.

Description. Head ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 6–10 ): Lower frons orange white, upper frons and vertex pale yellowish orange; labial palpi porrect, first segment orange white, second segment broadened apically, orange white, gradually darkening to pale yellowish orange apically, with a small brown mark dorsomedially and a larger brown mark apically, third segment pale yellowish orange, slightly paler toward apex; antenna blackish, basal segments mixed with pale yellowish orange scales.

Thorax: Pronotal collar greyish orange; tegulae light grey with orange patch outer 1/2, mesonotum dark greyish brown, anterior 1/3 and posterior 1/3 mixed with orange scales; posterior crest absent. Forewing subrectangular, wingspan 10.4 mm in male ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–5 ) (n = 1); costal margin evenly curved; termen rather straight and oblique; costal strigulae well developed, yellowish orange, separated by blackish streaks; wing pattern two-toned, basal 2/3 with light greyish brown ground color, with variable well-defined orange spots and bands, apical 1/3 with transverse, irregular sinuous striae on blackish ground, fringe scales blackish; underside light greyish brown with white spots along costa and termen. Hindwing light brown, slightly paler toward base; underside light greyish brown.

Abdomen: Posterior margin of sternum VIII bilobed ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 17–20 ). Male genitalia ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 21–28 ) with tegumen ovate, apodeme for muscle m4 enlarged, truncate and oblique, extended inwardly near other; uncus absent; socii large, sinuate, 1/2 length of tegumen, densely setose; gnathos indistinct; vinculum small, rather narrow; juxta small, subtriangular; caulis short; anellus surrounding base of phallus; phallus subcylindrical, moderately long and wide, slightly tapered apically, with dense cornuti; valva elongate-subtriangular, densely setose, widest medially, slightly narrow to rounded apex, inner margin slightly curved, median of outer margin extending outward forming a pointed apex, with a small, short, upwardly curved spine ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 21–28 ).

Distribution. Thailand (Uthai Thani province)

Etymology. The specific epithet (sic = like/ tri = three/ quetra = angled or sided) refers to the shape of the valva.
