Digonocryptus siraeus Aguiar et Ramos , sp. nov.
Figs 39, 40
Description. Holotype FEMALE. Fore wing 15.3 mm.
Head. Ventral tooth of mandible approximately as long as dorsal tooth. Clypeus apical area delimited by sharp border, medially weakly incised; clypeal margin apparently with one weak tooth (unclear differentiation). Antenna with 28 flagellomeres; white band starting at flagellomere IV; 7 flagellomeres at least 50% white.
Mesosoma . Mesopleuron glabrous, polished, smooth. Subalar prominence large and round, suboval, not keeled. Sulcus between sternaulus and scrobe absent. Posterior transverse carina of mesosternum present medially only, delicate and straight, crossing discrimen (similar to Fig. 167). Lower metapleuron with traces of striations, nearly smooth. Propodeum: area in front of anterior transverse carina polished, smooth, shortly subcrenulate along carina. Propodeal apophyses present as wide scale-shaped structures. Posterior transverse carina absent. Area between transverse carina and apex of propodeum strongly obliquely striate. Fore wing vein 3-Cu 1.51 length of 4- Cu.
Metasoma. Postpetiole dorso-anteriorly flat; dorsolateral and median dorsal carinae absent; petiolar spiracles in dorsal view very prominent. Ovipositor 1.19 length of hind tibia. Apex of lower valve with 13 teeth.
Color. Mostly orange brown, with black and yellow anteriorly. Lateral pattern as in Fig. 39. Orbital band briefly interrupted at malar space only; width on supra-antennal area and temple about 0.3 of interocular distance, on gena half as wide. Clypeus and supraclypeal area yellow, except dark brown on apical area, along entire clypeal sulcus, and briefly on each side towards torulus, drawing a distinct “H” figure. Head otherwise black. Mesosoma on pro-, meso- and metanotum black with yellow marks, otherwise orange brown. Pronotum dorsally along anterior margin with wide yellow stripe from side to side, not medially interrupted; without yellow on latero-dorsal margin. Propleuron black, except postero-lateral angle of each hemisternite yellowish brown. Mesoscutum centrally, at level of tegula, with distinct yellow spot. Scutellum mostly yellow, except apex black. Propodeum as in Figs 39–40, unicolorous. All femora orange brown, fore femur lighter, yellowish. All tibia yellowish light brown, hind tibia darker. Fore and mid t1 on basal 0.5–0.6 yellowish light brown, t1 otherwise and mid tarsi dark brown. Hind t1 basal 0.2 brown, quickly grading to mostly pale yellow; t2–3 and t4 basally also pale yellow; t4 apical half and entire t5 dark brown. Metasoma orange brown, T4–5 lighter. T2 apical margin with narrow yellow stripe, widest at each side.
MALE. Unknown.
Comments. Similar to D. caceres and to D. petrus , from which it can be distinguished by having only one clypeal tooth (vs. two); clypeal suture entirely and distinctly black (vs. fully yellow); pronotum dorso-laterally without yellow marks (vs. with longitudinal yellow stripe at dorsal margin); yellow around eyes as a narrow stripe at gena (vs. covering entire genal width on basal half); scutellar carina black (vs. yellow); metanotum centrally black (vs. yellow).
