Syn.: Graphis duplicata var. negrosina Vainio (1921b: 245) .

Type :— PHILIPPINES. Negros : Bago , Hacienda Louisiana, Merrill 6790 (TUR-Vainio 27630!, holotype) .

Fig. 6F View FIGURE 6 .

Thallus corticolous, whitish, gray or bluish white, continuous, smooth, distinctly corticate, glossy. Lirellae erumpent to prominent, with a thick lateral and very thin apical thalline margin, short to elongate, straight, curved or sinuous, unbranched or scarcely trifurcate, labia convergent, entire, not pruinose, disc concealed, (negrosina- morph). Exciple completely carbonized; hymenium clear; ascospores 8/ascus, hyaline, transversely 9–12-septate, 30–50 × 7–11 μm, transversely 6–13-septate, 28–64 × 8–12 μm, (protologue).

Chemistry: no lichen substances by TLC (anal. J. Sutjaritturakan).

Distribution and habitat:—This species was known from the type locality only and is here reported from Thailand for the first time. It was collected in rainforests, plantations and secondary forests from 15– 175 m.

Remarks:—On some thalli, there are lirellae with a thin apical thalline margin and some without. This is also due to the type material and already mentioned in the protologue.

Material from Thailand examined:— Phang-Nga province: Mueang district, in the area of Suan Somdet Srinagarindra Thara , on bark of an unidentified tree in a tropical rainforest, 15 M, 08°25’59’’ N, 98°31’06’’ E, 29 April 2012, J. Sutjaritturakan 4351, (hb. K. & J.
