TYPE LOCALITY: Malawi, Nyika Plateau (between 10 and 11° S. and between 33° 40' and 34° 10' E.) GoogleMaps .

DISTRIBUTION: Kenya; Zaire; Angola; Transvaal ( South Africa); N. Botswana; Malawi; Zambia; Tanzania.

COMMENT: Includes aequatorialis and gratulus; see Heim de Balsac and Meester, 1977, Part 1:6. Gureev, 1979:383, listed gratulus as a distinct species without comment.
