COMMENT: This genus has been regarded as part of Crocidura by Lekagul and McNeely, 1977:35, but it was retained by Corbet, 1978:30. Includes Pachyura , Paradoxodon , and Plerodus; see Meester and Lambrechts, 1971, Ann. Transvaal Mus., 27 (1):1 — 14, who revise the South African species. Subfamily Crocidurinae; see Repenning, 1967:15.
