Remarks
Pseudione brattstroemi View in CoL parasitizes the ghost shrimps Neotrypaea uncinata View in CoL and Notiax brachyophthalma View in CoL ( Stuardo et al. 1986a, 1986b; Muñoz 1997). Muñoz and Olmos (2007) suggested that Stuardo et al. (1986a, 1986b) might have misidentified the host species based on the high host-specificity of the parasites. However, no overall pattern of the degree of host-specificity has ever been demonstrated for bopyrids (one species has been found on 13 different hosts, see Boyko and Williams (2009)) and, in fact, Muñoz and Olmos (2007) cited the same two hosts for Ione ovata View in CoL without similar comments. Prevalence was 10.8% on N. brachyophthalma ( Muñoz 1997) View in CoL and varies between 10% (n = 170) and 20% (n = unknown) on N. uncinata View in CoL , being higher in juvenile size classes ( Stuardo et al. 1986a). This parasite has been recorded in both the intertidal and shallow subtidal environment ( Stuardo et al. 1986a).
