Material examined: the holotype of Rissoa toroensis and: --West Indies: ZMA, Curaçao, Jong coll. [3]; ZMA, Aruba, F. Ferberne coll. [22]; -- Brazil: --Pernambuco State: MNHN, Cabo (enseada dos corais) [1]; MNHN, Recife (praia de Candeias) [1]; IBUFRJ 11155, Ilha Rata, Fernando de Noronha Archipel, 08.vii.1999, eq. Malaco coll. Remarks: Mumiola gradatula ( Figs. 48−50 View FIGURES 48 − 50 ) has been reported from northeast Brazil by Rios (1994), as well as from other localities in the western Atlantic (e.g., Jong and Coomans, 1988; Redfern, 2001) as Chrysallida toroensis . Rissoa gradatula is an older, valid name, according to Faber (2005: figs. 4, 7) who illustrated its holotype, and should be allocated to the pyramidellid genus Mumiola . Herein, we illustrate the holotype of Rissoa toroensis ( Fig. 48 View FIGURES 48 − 50 ) and a shell from Brazil ( Figs. 49−50 View FIGURES 48 − 50 ).
The known geographical range of M. gradatula is now enlarged to southeast Brazil, off the state of Espírito Santo (≅19°S).
