Natural history.
Most adults of Stenus comma comma were found along river margins on (often steep) clay banks, on bare clay, under debris on clay/sand mix, and by splashing clay/sand mix on a steep bank. One individual was found on mud/clay in a dried puddle on a logging road. Specimens were collected during May, June, and July.
