Diagnosis. Body convex, elongate-oval. Antennae shorter than the body in both sexes. Sides of the prothorax rounded or armed with a lateral spine; procoxal cavities closed externally and posteriorly; mesoventrite broad. Elytra without distinct humeri; wings vestigial or absent. Number of species currently included: 20; in Mexico: 19.
