Type Locality: New Hebrides (= Vanatu), Malo Isl.
Vernacular Names: Fijian Mastiff Bat.
Distribution: Vanuatu, Fiji Isls.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (nt).
Discussion: plicatus species group. Often included in jobensis (e.g. Felten, 1964 a; Hill, 1983), but provisionally recognized as distinct following Flannery (1995 b).
