Diagnosis. Notum mostly shining, little or no tomentum when viewed from rear; male frons twice the width of anterior ocellus; male outer vertical seta usually present; female rear edge of T 5 with cleft ( Whitworth 2006, as in fig. 49).

Distribution. Specimens were examined from Dominica ( TW), Jamaica ( LSAM), and Puerto Rico ( TW, FSCA, CMNH, USNM). Dear (1985) did not record it from the West Indies. It is found throughout the Neotropical Region.
