Diagnosis. The forewing length is 17–18 mm in males and 18.5 mm in females. The detailed comparison with the externally similar B. wui sp. n. is provided above in the diagnosis of the latter species.

Remark. The female illustrated by Wu et al. (2013) as B. ponlai is not conspecific to the holotype and probably belongs to B. witti sp. n.

Distribution. Endemic to Taiwan Island. Known from Hualien, Nantou, Taitung, Taichung, Chiayi and Kaohsiung Counties.
