Sternapodeme with moderate anterior process. Gonocoxite cylindrical, 127 Μm long, 66 Μm wide. GcR 1.94. Gonostylus simple and slender, 77 Μm long; megaseta, 12 Μm long. HR 1.67. HV 2.49.

Adult female, pupa and larva. Unknown.

Remarks. Adult males of Labrundinia meta may be distinguished from those of the related species L. fosteri , L. nathani , L. panamensis and L. nicaguarensis by the divided transverse band on tergites II and V and the pale tergite VIII. Labrundinia meta has been recorded only from its type locality in Colombia. Only one adult was collected in the area of Laguna Mozambique, which is characterized by the presence of Scirpus cubensis and Pastalum repens along the shore and pH around 4.5. The larvae from this area described by Roback (1987a) could not with certainty be associated with the adults. Thus, the immatures of L. meta remain unknown.
