( Figure 2A View Figure 2 )

Cerambyx perforatus Klug, 1825: 459 View in CoL , pl. 43, fig. 7.

Listroptera perforata View in CoL ; White, 1855: 210.

Dihammaphora perforata View in CoL ; Chevrolat, 1859: 52; Monné, 2005: 522 (catalogue); Monné and Bezark, 2008: 138 (checklist).

Redescription

Female (?). Integument black; occiput partly reddish; prothorax, scutellum and mesosternum reddish. Frons, clypeus and mandibles finely, very densely rugose-punctate. Vertex glabrous. Frons, clypeus, margin of lower eye lobes and genae with whitish, moderately dense pubescence.

Antennae almost reaching middle of elytra. Segments 3–5 subcylindrical, expanded at outer apex, gradually increasing in length; segments from 6 whitish, gradually denser pubescent apically; 6 slightly longer than 5, evidently expanded at outer apical third; 7–11 conspicuously shorter than 6, slightly decreasing in length, subserrate and somewhat swollen; 11 oval, little shorter than 3.

Prothorax almost as broad as humeri at base, then slightly attenuate to apex. Pronotum with some dorsal, erect, short setae at apical third; latero-basal gibbosities obsolete, rounded.

Elytra conspicuously sinuous at sides, narrowed before middle, subdepressed at base. Dorsal costa present only at basal third. Surface almost entirely very coarsely, deeply punctuated; punctures seriate in three rows, except at basal and apical quarters, separated by one diameter or more. Pubescence whitish, very short, not obscuring integument, and scattered, whitish setae. Margins strongly asperate, the asperities stout and far from each other. Elytral apices rounded-truncate.

Peduncles of femora shallowly sulcate. Metafemora not reaching elytral apices. Metatibiae sinuate at apical half. First segment of metatarsi as long as the following two combined.

Measurements (mm) female (?). Total length, 6.4; prothorax length, 1.8; maximum width of prothorax, 1.2; elytral length, 4.1; humeral width, 1.4.

Type material

Not examined. The species was apparently based on a single specimen from Brazil, Pará: Cametá, deposited in ZMHB ( Monné 2005; Monné and Bezark 2008).

Remarks

Dihammaphora perforata View in CoL is similar to D. ibirajarai Mermudes, 1998 View in CoL in having the same body colour, and elytra coarsely, seriate punctuate with dorsal costa poorly evident extending, at most, to near middle. They may be differentiated by the characters given in the key.
