TYPE LOCALITY: “ in planitie et montuosis agri parmensis … In Etruria [Parmese plains and mountains … Etruria (= Tuscany) ( Italy)]” .

CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Bithia glirina ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 339, Pape et al. 1995: 27, Cerretti 2010: 395, O’Hara et al. 2020: 680).

REMARKS: Rondani (1861e: 51) described both sexes of Myobia glirina without specifying the exact number of specimens, but giving a single measurement of length, from material he had collected and also received from F.M. Piccioli. We found nine syntypes in this study.
