ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1868a: 41.

TYPE LOCALITY: “ Parmae [ Parma (Italy) ]”.

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, syntype (covered with mold, missing right mid-leg) ( MZUF: Box 15): Masicera Macq. / testacicornis Rnd. / 759.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Eurysthaea scutellaris (Robineau-Desvoidy, 1848) ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 245) .

REMARKS: Rondani (1868a: 41) described Masicera testacicornis from just the female sex, without specifying either the number or the length of the specimens. We found one syntype in this study.
